The Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Centre co-ordinates gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, pathology, radiology, pharmacy, nutrition, nursing and research for people with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, and holds regular multidisciplinary meetings for patients who need additional layers of care. It publishes the drugs it treats with by name across three classes, and runs a dedicated infusion centre for the injectable ones. Referrals are accepted directly by the centre for patients who already have a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease; suspected IBD goes first to gastroenterology or colorectal surgery for evaluation.

Established in 2016 and now part of the National University Centre for Digestive Health, the IBD Centre of Excellence treats patients of all ages, from paediatric to adult. The hospital describes a one-stop service: a dedicated IBD clinic, a paediatric-to-adult transition service, an outpatient infusion centre for people who need biologics, an endoscopy centre, tertiary-level investigations for monitoring, and colorectal cancer surveillance. Intravenous biologics can be given at home, intestinal ultrasound is done at the point of care during the consultation, and a translational precision-medicine programme gives access to clinical trials and to newer therapies including faecal microbiota transplantation. The IBD clinic itself is run jointly by an advanced practice nurse, a gastroenterologist, a pharmacist and a dietitian, and in a flare a patient can reach the nurse by hotline for a same-day walk-in.
