Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital names an Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Centre among the services of its gastroenterology division, which gives inflammatory bowel disease as one of the fields it works in. The centre’s own page explains what ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease are; it publishes nothing about the centre’s team, its clinic days or how to reach it.

The Division of Gastroenterology runs outpatient clinics named for particular conditions, one of which is the İBH ve Pankreas Polikliniği — inflammatory bowel disease and pancreatic disease share a clinic and a direct extension. The others are hepatology, constipation and incontinence, reflux, liver transplantation and a general clinic. The division states it has ten academic staff: five professors, three associate professors and two assistant professors.

The gastroenterology department runs five outpatient clinics, one of them for inflammatory bowel disease specifically, alongside hepatology, pancreatic disease and general gastroenterology; together they see around 120 patients a day. The department’s central endoscopy unit was rebuilt in 2015 and handles 40 to 50 patients and around 90 routine and advanced procedures a day.
