Klinikum Wels-Grieskirchen runs a named Ambulanz für chronisch entzündliche Darmerkrankungen (CED) offering diagnostics and therapy of chronic inflammatory bowel disease. It provides endoscopic diagnostics (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy), treatment with immunosuppressants and modern biologics, access to clinical trials of experimental therapies, dietary counselling and psychotherapeutic support, and coordinates with visceral surgery. It also connects patients to the self-help group ÖMCCV.
