Tyks runs a dedicated inflammatory bowel disease care pathway. At the Vatsatautien poliklinikka (gastroenterology clinic) an IBD nurse (IBD-hoitaja) takes part in care alongside the physician, gives disease information, provides follow-up appointments and phone follow-up, and reviews monitoring test results. A stoma nurse (avannehoitaja) supports patients who need surgery.
