IBD Unit
Beaumont's IBD unit is a tertiary referral centre for the management of inflammatory bowel disease. Consultants work alongside clinical nurse specialists and advanced nurse practitioners, managing complex cases with biologic and advanced therapies and running sub-specialty clinics for adolescents transitioning from paediatric care. It is one of the first Irish centres to integrate point-of-care intestinal ultrasound into routine IBD assessment, and it runs an active clinical trials team.
