IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist Service
Children's Health Ireland runs the national paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, intestinal failure and transplant service (GHIFT), providing care for all children in Ireland with digestive or liver disease, including inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and IBDU). The team includes clinical nurse specialists and advanced nurse practitioners in IBD. A dedicated IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist service supports children and families, with its own email and a daytime voicemail line.
