IBD Center (Center for Advanced Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease)
The IBD Center is the hospital’s unit for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, described by its gastroenterology department as one of Japan’s bases for the diagnosis, treatment and study of refractory inflammatory bowel disease. Diagnosis combines endoscopy with capsule endoscopy and intestinal ultrasound alongside blood and stool inflammation markers, an approach the centre presents as accurate while placing less burden on the patient.
