The federal Health Ministry states that Hospital Juárez de México runs a Clínica de Enfermedad Inflamatoria Intestinal giving free care to people without social-security cover who have Crohn’s disease or chronic idiopathic ulcerative colitis. The clinic is staffed across gastroenterology, endoscopy, pathology, coloproctology and nursing, with laboratory and radiology on site, and the ministry describes treatment as planned individually for each patient.

The Clínica de Enfermedad Inflamatoria Intestinal opened in March 2023 and cares for people with chronic idiopathic ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease from across the country, coordinating gastroenterology, coloproctology, nutrition, psychology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology and endoscopy around the same patient. The Health Ministry states it follows over 350 patients and that in 2025 it was certified by the Pan American Crohn's and Colitis Organisation, audited by Bureau Veritas — a review covering clinical records, care protocols, equipment and staff training.
