Skånes universitetssjukhus in Malmö provides specialised care for inflammatory bowel disease. Its gastroenterology clinic (Mag- och tarmmottagningen, for patients aged 18 and over) investigates and treats intestinal inflammation such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. SUS Malmö is also one of four hospitals in Sweden designated for national highly specialised care (NHV) in reconstructive IBD surgery, including pelvic pouch for both children and adults after colectomy.
