Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Service

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham runs a dedicated inflammatory bowel disease service for ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and indeterminate colitis. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of consultant gastroenterologists, surgeons, clinical nurse specialists, a specialist pharmacist, endoscopists and dietitians. An IBD advice line staffed by IBD clinical nurse specialists handles symptom flares, prescription renewals and medication queries.
